Staying Involved and Keeping Up with Industry Trends

At HORIZON, in numerous ways. We have staff that are members of the FSEA (Florida Society of Environmental Analysts), CSEA (California Society of Environmental Analysts), CALA (Canadian Association for Laboratory Accreditation), TNI (The NELAC Institute), APHL (The Association of Public Health Laboratories), ACS (American Chemical Society) and other organizations. We have staff on various Boards for organizations. We have staff participating in tasks forces through organizations like TNI (The NELAC Institute). HORIZON attends and/or exhibits numerous conferences including SOFT (Society of Forensic Toxicology), PITTCON, AWWA (American Water Works Association), CSSA, ASA, FSEA (www.fsea.net), TNI and NEMC (www.nemc.us), NC Lab Day, AACC Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo and more. 

HORIZON’s staff also makes it a point to talk to, visit and ask advice from the laboratories we serve. No good LIMS comes from a bubble. It evolves based on real world needs and experiences of its staff and its clients. There is no better way of learning what laboratories need than immersing yourself into those organizations they participate in.
